This lesson explores various aspects of divine power, especially as introduced by Ephesians chapter 1 and applied to believers. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is “at-work” in us, if we will but exercise it. Ephesians 1 is rich in these expressions of God’s power in His Son and in the faithful. The vocabulary of power here includes Gk. dunamai, dunamis (‘ability, capability’), energeo, energeia (‘being at-work’), ischus (‘strength’), kratos (‘grasp, or power that is taken hold of’), exousia (‘authority, or power exercised’). Every imaginable expression of power has been set forth by the resurrection of the Son, and through Him they are filling us also.
